I’ve been following the news of the earthquake + tsunami in Japan and thinking “holy sh*t”. Wishing it’s not gonna get even worse, with all the nuclear plant failing and all 😦

…it’s so surreal when you can listen and see a disaster happening faraway, so far away that it feels like a different world, so detached and there’s nothing much you can do…

At the very least, my childhood friend’s safe and sound when I called yesterday, so that alone got me very relieved. And another friend on Plurk confirmed that he’s OK, so that’s an additional relief. On the other hand, I sent a message to an acquaintance who’s currently living in Japan and haven’t gotten any reply yet… *worries*

Me too, I’m super worried as well. One of my best friends is there right now, and I just got a reply back from her hearing she’s okay, because she lived further in-coast the tsunami didn’t hit her… she said the earthquakes (you know, the minor after shock ones) aren’t so bad but… still… :\
i can’t believe this even happened. it felt so random, like, i dunno like it wasn’t really happening, you know?? so crazy.

Yea… the net acquaintance just replied, so I know she’s at least safe.
But for the rest… hoping the nuclear reactor problem won’t escalate… :S
